I tried very hard to post yesterday, but the library computer mulled over the publishing for so long I ran out of time. It wasn't very exciting, to be honest; trying to sum up my life over the past few weeks is incredibly difficult. My *life* is great, but quick goes on the net are not. However:

the novel has been read by a couple of (biased) folk who are very into it. A few chapters are on their way to Virago, after some words of wisdom from Flowers who thinks getting an agent is a waste of precious time. I'm inclined to agree. Anyway, don't laugh, but I've also contacted Fairy Press, a local company, who publish fairy (sorry, faerie) stuff and fantasy fiction. My email to them rather glosses over the horror element, but I don't know if they'll be interested in having a read.

On a personal level - I need a group hug. Nothing wrong, just missing you people.
